3 Saturdays:  March 9th, 16th and 23rd  12:30-2:30pm  $60.00*

You have made a pair of plain vanilla socks - maybe even a few. You may have tried colorwork before. Was it a hat or mittens? Now what? We have a skill-stretcher for you. “Tulips in the Desert” top-down socks, designed by Arella Seaton, will allow you to polish up your stranded colorwork skills, as well as pick up some new skills along the way. How about learning an easier approach to a well-fitting afterthought heel worked with colorwork? Stranded colorwork in heels and toes makes more durable socks and also give you more comfort.

In this workshop, previous sock knitting experience and basic stranded colorwork skills are required.

There is some homework for the class, so please be sure to sign up in advance to allow time for knitting the cuff of the sock.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN: ambidextrous knitting (one yarn held in each hand), joining and weaving in a new color in colorwork, making your socks to fit perfectly, afterthought heel construction.

PREREQUISITES: previous socks knitting experience & practical knowledge of basic stranded colorwork.

*Plus Pattern "Tulips in the Desert" by Arella Seaton (Ravelry $5.00), and Yarn del Sol yarns.
