Instructor:  Elena Homans

Afterthought heels are great for when you just don't want to work a heel along with the sock - like when you are knitting on the road.  Additionally, we can make an afterthought heel in another color to add visual interest to our socks.  It's also a great choice for color work socks or socks made with a self-striping or self-patterning yarn.  This way your pattern will not be broken up or rearranged on the front of the sock.  As an extra bonus, if your heel ever wears out, it's relatively easy to remove and replace it.

There is homework for this class so please sign up early and have your homework completed before attending class.

In this workshop you will learn peasant sock heels - both forethought and true afterthought heels; thumb-joint hat top heel/toe, flattop heel.

Prerequisites:  basic sock knitting experience (must have knit at least one pair of socks), knitting in the round using magic loop or double pointed needles, Kitchener Stitch.  This is not for first-time sock knitters.

*plus purchased Raverly Pattern and Yarn del Sol yarns.
