Two Saturdays:  Oct 6th & 20th 1:00pm to 4:00pm  $55.00*

Instructor:  Elena Homans

2-D and 3-D shaping at the same time?  Yep! Toph, the hat designed by Wooly Wormhead, is a brilliant example of short row colorwork taken on a whole different level of manipulation. It's a hat worked sideways with short rows in two different colors.  In corporating the crown and brim shaping worked simultaneously adds that extra something that makes the knitter feel so clever.  This hat design will show you how to transform simple garter stitch to completely different form.  The Toph hat would make a wonderful holiday gift too.
In this workshop you will learn short row colorwork, German short rows, adding a new color and weaving it in as you go, directional chart reading, grafting in Garter itch.
*plus materials and pattern.  Yarn del Sol yarns need to be used for the project.
