Stripe Tease Socks

Instructor:  Elena Homans

Working socks toe-up, top-down… you’ve done it all, or not. How about trying something quite different? The Stripe Tease socks, designed by General Hogbuffer, have a very unusual construction that doesn’t follow the “standard” sequences for top-down or toe-up socks. This design, worked in a long gradient yarn, plays with knitting in simple strips that are joined through the knitting with no sewing involved.  The Fish Lips Kiss heel added to the original approach will simplify the process and make the socks more comfortable. It will also broaden your repertoire of skills for future sock knitting.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN: Fish Lips Kiss heel, picking up stitches, twin stitches (variation of the short rows), how to make your toe-up and top-down socks fit perfectly.

PREREQUISITES: basic sock knitting experience (must have knit at least one pair of socks).
