Project Workshops

So Faded Sweater

Three Sundays:  May 21st 1:30-3:30pm, May 28th & June 11th 1:30- 4:30pm  $60.00*

Instructor:  Elena Homans

"So Faded" sweater designed by Andrea Mowry sums up an ideal raglan pullover.  It's worked from the top down, completely seamless, and has a little bit of texture to make it fit into a more modern wardrobe.  It is an easy and satisfying knit, making it a great first garment if you are a beginner.  A slightly different approach to raglan and all possible color variations make it interesting for an experienced knitter as well.  Color "melting" technique will certainly add fun to the process. Since its worked  from the top down, you can easily adjust the length of the sleeves and the body to fit your personal style.  Come and get inspired by all the gorgeous yarns we can offer and the sweater will practically jump on your needles and pretty much knit itself!

In this workshop you'll learn top down raglan construction, shaping increases & decreases, color fading "melting" technique, knitting in the round, picking up stitches, invisible join of a new color yarn, strategies for keeping track of knitting progress.

Prerequisites:  confident knitting.
